Perplexity API: n8n Integration, AWS Marketplace, and New /v1/models Endpoint
Why it matters
Perplexity has announced several API updates in April 2026: a native n8n integration for visual AI workflows, availability on AWS Marketplace for simplified procurement, and a new /v1/models endpoint without authentication.
Perplexity announced a series of API improvements in April 2026 that make it easier to integrate their AI search into business workflows and development tools.
Native n8n Integration
The popular workflow automation platform n8n now offers native support for Perplexity with a visual node covering all major APIs: Chat Completions, Agent, Search, and Embeddings. Dynamic model loading from the API ensures the dropdown menu always displays current options. Users can configure everything directly from the n8n visual canvas without additional setup.
AWS Marketplace
The Perplexity API platform has become available on the AWS Marketplace as a SaaS listing. Organizations already using AWS can purchase API credits through their AWS account, enabling consolidated billing and simplified procurement without establishing a separate vendor relationship.
New /v1/models Endpoint
A new GET endpoint provides a list of available Agent API models in an OpenAI-compatible format. Notably, the endpoint does not require authentication, making it useful for applications that need dynamic model selection without API key validation.
OpenClaw Integration
OpenClaw, an open-source terminal AI agent, has integrated Perplexity Search as a native web search provider. After a one-time API key configuration, users receive structured search results (title, URL, snippet) directly in terminal workflows.
